Etisalat DB inks Rs 750-cr BPO deals

Etisalat DB Telecom India, a new telecom operator, has signed deals worth Rs 750 crore ($150million) with three Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) service providers. The company said it had entered into five-year outsourcing agreements with Tech Mahindra, Aegis and Conflux. Etisalat DB Telecom India is a joint venture between Dubai-based Etisalat and India’s Dynamix Balwas Group. The centres will also be responsible for the complete management of back office processes. Telecom subscribers will also have access to the contact centres through e-mail, chat and SMS, besides inbound and outbound calls. Tech Mahindra will manage Etisalat DB’s services in North and S West India, while West and Central India will be managed by Aegis. Conflux will service customers in Bihar.
