Drug maker Jubilant Organosys today said it has earmarked Rs 250 crore for its capacity expansion plans in the current fiscal.

"We are going to spend Rs 250 crore for capacity expansion. A majority of it would be spent on de-bottlenecking activities while a small portion of it would go for the R&D activities," Jubilant Organosys Chairman and Managing Director Shyam S Bhartia told reporters on the sidelines of World Economic Forum .
When asked about the company"s proposed resolution to raise Rs 500 crore, he said it is only a "enabling" resolution and the time limit for the same has not been decided, adding that the resolution is for a one-year period.
