US markets drop on recovery worries

US markets slipped at the end of the week as worries about the economic recovery loomed once again. - Sensex makes remarkable recovery, regains 17K - Sensex ends up 247pts - Sensex jumps over 17K, up 200pts - Sensex slips again; realty index down 2% - US markets end weak - Sensex sheds 213pts on profit booking The Dow dropped 14 points to 10,318. The Nasdaq was down 11 points at 2,146. Indian ADRs were mostly in the green. Mahindra Satyam and HDFC Bank surged 3% each to $5.13 and $134.12, respectively. ICICI Bank and Dr Reddy"s added 2.5% each to $38.04 and $24.02, respectively. Sterlite, Tata Communications and Tata Motors also moved up around 1% each. However, Patni Computers slumped 3.5% to $19.36.
