Voltas jumps on decent results

Shares of Voltas spurted 20.55 per cent to Rs 118.2 on announcement of decent FY09 results. Net profit for the year ended March 31, 2009, increased by 21 per cent to Rs 251.40 crore, while total income rose 34 per cent to Rs 4,361.72 crore during the period. - A cool cause - Voltas zooms 20% on Rs 300cr orders, FY09 nos - Voltas FY"09 net up 21% at Rs 251.40 cr - Tantia up 3.2% on order from rlys - LIC Housing rises 4.43% - HCL Infosys up on BSNL order The company bagged two electro-mechanical projects orders worth Rs 300 crore from Kolkata and Chennai international airports. The board also approved a dividend of Rs 1.60 per share. The stock opened at the lowest point of the day at Rs 100 and made an intra-day high of Rs 119.7. Total traded volumes stood at 4.03 million shares.
